5 days of Youth GEMS camp finally over. It was awesome fun working and dealing with all those kids (secondary sch kids to be exact). Fun-filled activities installed for them and I am really glad they had fun. I think the highlight for them was the attachment at certain companies like Sakae Sushi, Zoo, Underwater World etc and going to Orchard road to set up stalls.
My team, Sea Monkez was super duper awesome. They were a really nice bunch of people and Chris and I had lots of fun working with them. They were super nice to buy magnets with "love" on it, brought back sushi for us and also bought us personalize keychain. I am so proud of what they had achieved over the past few days. They sang birthday songs to these twins, craft balloons for a group of 17 kindergarten children. They manage to win the best skit performance on the first day too. Haha!
On the final day, they had to put up a performance for the GOH that was coming to visit at the TRCC. Despite the lack of time to practice their major skit and finale performance, they manage to pull in through. Trust me, I was practically shaking and being super nervous about it. I bet I was more nervous than them. Seriously, you can't blame me for being nervous and scared for them. They did not have a proper rehearsal at all because of some cock up management who promise to give them 2 hours of practice but they ended up with no practice at all. But yea, I guess everyone had their issues on that day so forget it. Most importantly, their performance was a success and they received lots of compliments from everybody. 3 cheers to you guys! Not forgetting how idiotic they were, thanks for attacking me with tattoos and carrying me out of TRCC. You guys rock. -.-
Overall, I thought the camp was awesome and I am glad the kids had fun because in their feedback they wanted the camp to be overnight camp and to be a longer duration. Guys, easy for you to say when you all are done by 6pm but what time does the facilitators have stay back till? 10pm or later can! If it's 10 days I would die from the lack of sleep because there is still stuff we have to do to at home for YOU guys and I might start having stalkers (you know who I am referring to.) But so gonna miss you guys.
